25% of the wharf burned down to the water.  SS Jeremiah O’Brien saved, USS Pampanito saved, Musee Mecanique saved.

Lost was a significant portion of the SF Bay fishing fleet warehouse capacity, and the Red and White Ferry office.

Jeremiah O’Brien, and John Brown are the last two surviving WWII Liberty Ships.  I’ve had the privilege of serving as Ship’s Boatswain aboard both.

Pampanito ( SS-383) is a fine example of a Balao class submarine.  I was the captain of one of the tugs that moved her to Mare Island for refurbishment for the movie Down Periscope.

Musee Mecanique is an antique penny arcade where every game is playable.

We all loved Musee Mechanique.  Good to hear that it and the ships weren't damaged, but it sucks that the warehouse and equipment were destroyed.

I did not know there where any Liberty ships left. I thought they where all gone.
