Ezlyn started calling me George because that is what everyone else calls me.

But now at 20 months she seems to have settled firmly on Pop-Pop. The wife is MiMi.

I'm good with it.

My kid calls me by my first name, always has. He used to call my wife "squishy" when he was like 4, which evolved into "squish fish" which eventually became "feeshu" and that's what he calls her now to this day.

Papaw twice over now. The youngest turns one in 4 days. Born in Japan, with the lightest blue eyes you can imagine. Almost Husky blue. Went there in December to see them.

I'm GrandDog.

I have pet names for all 4 of the grandkids. Squeak, Squirtle, Buddy and most recently, (as of about 10 days ago) Pup.

May end up with one more. We'll see...

My MIL is Gippy.  Scott called her gimpy one day because she was on crutches.  Our oldest started calling her gippy from that day on.  She tried to pass the name off on her husband, but when we said go give gippy a hug, he climbed on her lap, grinning.  She has embraced her name.  Our kids have a Papa, Nana, Grandpa and Gippy.  No grandma.
