They have a new drama series surrounding the events surrounding the Waco siege. I watched a couple of episodes last night. Pretty solid series a far. The acting is really good and the story is fascinating

I wonder if this was the same mini-series that was on cable (AMC? or Paramount/Spike?) like 6 months ago?  It was really good, I think I started a thread on it.

This was really big news when I was growing up.  Watched it nightly on the news.  One of the fallout was that the MI militia really started building numbers after that and Ruby Ridge.  They were actively recruiting in our area and I almost joined.  Wasn't long after that the Murrah building blew up from a couple fringe wackos from that group.

one of the guys I knew when I was younger was working in the ER when they brought in the FBI agents that were shot, he was a couple years younger, was the preachers kid of the church we went to at the time.  said that whole thing was really fvcked up

We have watched it. It must not be character driven because it is really good.

Watching this series and other shows on this the more convinced I get that the ATF/FBI/Koresh all fecked this up. No one party owns the disaster at Waco.

This mini series was amazing. I’d have to say everyone played a part, but the FBI/ATF was mostly to blame. Countless bad decisions on this one.

I watched this a couple of winters ago on the treadmill, and basically, this.

They had numerous opportunities to arrest Koresh, but they wanted a big show.
