My son's b-day is coming up.  I still plays GT4 on our old PS2 sometimes so I'm thinking something like this.  He mentioned gear club unlimited 2 but that looks kind of cheesy to me.  maybe it's just the fact that it's a port of a mobile game that explains my revulsion to it.  is grid autosport any better?  something else I don't know about?

went with grid autosport.  I tried it a little bit.  seems like a solid game but pretty challenging.  I do like the rewind/redo button.  that really makes me push it a lot harder than I otherwise would.

getting accustomed to the controls now.  they are pretty good but a real wheel and pedals would be sweet.  there is a wheel/pedal combo made by hori but I'm having a hard time figuring out if the wheel and pedals are actually analog in this game.  if not it's pretty much 100% gimmick in my opinion.  I want to be able to make the wheels turn a little or a lot.  same with the gas pedal and brake.

the other day I picked up horizon chase turbo for $6.  it's made to look kind of like an old outrun style arcade game.  the framerates are awesome because the graphics are basic.  feels super fast!  not realistic AT ALL but pretty fun for a quick break.

We picked up horizon chase turbo for $5. Well worth it. I was slightly concerned that the handling dynamics would be 80s outrun on the genesis which has not held up well. But the handling was fine. If you are a kart fan the handling will be easy to adapt. I like that the gas is a trigger since I primarily play Forza motorsports 7

When you play any racing game after hct you realize how fast the frame rate is in this game.
