Talked to a buddy the other day who said he is bored out of his mind and can't stop snacking during this quarantine. It struck me that I was doing opposite. I've been needing to lose some pounds so I've been calorie counting and hitting treadmill more.

QUESTION: Are you gaining or losing weight in quarantine???

Losing.  I've been on the same trend for a few months.  I don't think it has much of anything to do with the quarantine.

ETA:  I can see why it would be an issue for people who aren't used to being at home during the day.

Losing.
I had my annual Dr. visit in late Jan. and got a solid scolding about my weight, bp and pre-diabetes.
decided I was tired of hearing it and started a change. -33 pounds as of this morning.

I’ve been exercising every morning and we’re taking the kids and dog for 2 walks a day. Wife has been doing classes on Zoom.

We’ve been enjoying more comfort food though and tend to snack more at home than at work. Hopping to hold steady weight wise, but improve conditioning.

Loosing, but that has nothing to do with quarantine.  I need to start eating more.

Definitely gaining.  Drinking beers on the couch nightly, and snacking, is going to add 10 pounds before I know it.

I haven't weighed myself lately but it wouldn't surprise me if I'm losing. I seem to be eating less.

If it would warm up here in Iowa, I would love to walk outside more, instead of being couped up with 4 kids....

Wear a coat.   ;)

The only thing that stopped me from walking 2 miles a day was this spider bite.  Before that, it had to be a blizzard and really windy to keep me indoors.  We came up with a modified walk on windy days.  We live in a valley, but the walk goes up a big hill and it's really windy up at the top.  We'd walk to the top, turn around, and then walk the other direction for about 1/2 mile.  It wasn't quite as long, but we were definitely over 1 1/2 miles for the walk.

I bought a balaclava for the bad weather.  Very comfortable and made the bad weather not seem bad at all.

I'm not exercising like I was at the gym, but I'm trying to remain active. We do 'PE' every morning as part of the homeschool schedule - just 20 minutes of calisthenics. Every couple of days I mix in some more intense body weight exercises. Daily walks/bike rides with the kids. Again, nothing intense, but some activity.

I find it easier to control caloric intake at home. Fewer treats here. I haven't purposefully tried to lose weight in a long time, but I probably will now that I'm not able to lift heavy. I wouldn't mind taking off 10-15 pounds in these circumstances.
