Found 3#'s of flaked rye that I should really use up.  Anyone got any good recipes or ideas?

1.052 Rye APA with pale ale malt and .5# C60. Cascade, Cent and Columbus in equal proportions in the whirlpool. US-05 or similar.

Denny's Rye IPA would be a good start.

Both good suggestions.  I lean towards the APA just because of the lower ABV.  I may have to sneak some chinook in there as well :).

Not enough flavor in flaked for that IMO.  That's why I prefer malted.

Yeah, I quit using flaked a long time ago for that reason.

I'd still throw it in something light that will let it show up in the glass.  Better than throwing it out

I wish SN would bring back Ruthless for awhile.

This.  And also their red Flipside IPA as a standalone sixer, not part of a variety pack.

LOL .. I had "liked" that post back then.

I can see doing that with more rye and more hops.  Make it more Ruthless!

That one just didn't have enough rye for my tastes.

Take the recipe above and sub out a pound or so of 2-row for moar rye. It's not like you'll miss the 2-row.

That is my thought as well.  I would think about skipping that 90 minute hop addition as well.

I like Ruthless... but, yeah, it could use some more rye!

I don't think I've used magnum late in the boil (on purpose anyway).  what is it like?

I have not used it myself but I think torpedo also has it late.

Some information here. I may sub something else in for my version.
