Delicious, but way too citrusy for martinis.

I'm not a Gin guy, but my friend is and he has been searching for an alternative to Bombay Sapphire.  generally speaking this is his favorite gin and he is looking for others that have similar flavor profiles.  any suggestions??

dont get me wrong, a G&T is good in the warm weather, but I need to have the tonic cut 50/50 with seltzer, the quinine is too jarring for me.  I'll have a martini once in a great while as well.  G&Juice is good as well.  but i'm not a gin guy, i dont keep gin in my cabinet and I can't remember the last time i actually bought a bottle, maybe like 3-4 yrs ago at least maybe longer

I'm ok with a vodka tonic. G&T doesn't do it for me.

Everywhere around here its the house gin. G&Ts are ok in my book.

A buddy of mine and his wife love Gunpowder Irish gin. Kept forgetting about it as I too don't drink a lot of gin, but I need to go get some to try.

Amsterdam would be a great, refreshing G&T, but it's too sweet and citrusy for a dirty martini.

Tanqueray.  That's my go-to.  They offer a nice rangpur, which is heavy on the lime.  The Ten is very nice as well.

I don't know if a substitution for Bombay.

Every gin is different depending on the botanicals.

I chug this gin. I find it to be very light on the botanicals.
