Dropped this sexy bitch on my foot today.

Not a scratch because it hit my foot with the ass end, but my heart stopped. Those rubber washers don't do squat.

I have some plastic twist locks that work pretty well for a few bucks. Just have to check them every once in a while.

Got some Schaller's ordered.
Tonight was the first time in 45 years I've had one come loose. Scared the crap out of me. Paul's are so incredibly butt heavy. I feared at the minimum I'd have cracked the paint at the neck joint, but on inspection, no. I'll have a big bruise on my foot tomorrow I'm sure, but that ain't nothing compared to cracking a three week old guitar.

Can’t say I’ve had that issue

I bought a couple of inexpensive planet waves straps that have strap locks on the end. Those things broke / two of them

Lately I’ve been using a repurposed seatbelt strap from Amazon. The ends on those are a heavy silicone that you have to stretch to get on and off. That ones not coming loose
