This is not really a soup but more like chili. With the chili kerfuffles we see on the board, I expect everyone will know when to avert their eyes or turn back. My sister made this a few times and she used shredded chicken once and ground beef another time. My wife just made it last night with ground chicken (my suggestion) and I see no reason why one couldn't add slices/chunks of steak, etc.

I typically shred some cheese over it, drizzle a little crema supremo and then eat it with chips. The options for what you can add to the bowl and the pot are pretty much endless. I also found a nice bottle of a smoked chipotle paprika seasoning this past week and I asked my wife to spill a little of that in there. Leftovers tonight.
