GM and Manager getting 1 year suspensions.  Should be lifetime bans imo.

As a baseball fan, it pains me to see anything like this.  Sign-stealing, roids, corked bats, etc. is a mark on the game that I like.  Even if it were my team doing it, I would appreciate seeing suspensions, expulsions, fines, lost draft picks, etc. because you have to make an example of the people doing it.  I watched a bit of the videos showing the cheating... the camera in center would pick up the sign and relay it to the dugout.  Someone would BANG loudly (it sounded like someone using a bat on a metal garbage can) one time to indicate something (like the pitch would be a fastball or offspeed) and watching the video it was clear that the sound would occur every time that pitch was thrown.  The batter hears the noise and knows "something" about the pitch.

Here is some good stuff:

The whole organization is dirty. Glad the punishment is so strong.

Look back even to the Cards employee going to prison for breaking into the Astros database. That guy made a huge mistake and what he did was clearly wrong. His motivation, though, was to show that the Astros managment had stolen the Cards proprietary player evaluation tool. Which they almost certainly did.

Yeah, I remember that story.  Where does the corruption come from, the owner?  If you swap out your GM and manager and there is still corruption then where else could it come from?  The owner tells everyone to do whatever it takes and then he winks... whatever it takes, nowa I mean?  Wink again.

I don't know if Jim Crane is dirty. GM Jeff Luhnow is a genius and a real jackass. AJ Hinch has always been a red ass.

Cora was a member of the Astros in 2017, right?  So it sounds like he will be in it individually and then the Red Sox as a team.  Dillweeds.

Alex Cora won't be employed for long.

If the reports are true, Cora was the guy who set it all up and he should be gone for good in my opinion.

Holy shit!  They are both damaged goods now.  What organization is going to hire them now?

maybe the catcher can just walk out to the mound before each pitch instead of flashing signals....
