I'm in the abyss with my winblows machine.

But my Linux box is running great!

In a world without walls and fences,

I still have a mame box running xp. No issues. My HTPC is running win 7 still, because media center was still some of the best DVR software out there for any platform.

I’m in the abyss with my corporate windows laptop. Still running win7, if I allow them to upgrade it I’ll lose RDP back to it cuz they are locking everything down

Why would rdp access depend on the OS version? The older version of the rdp client?

His organization might have different baseline configurations for different operating systems. They might have taken the opportunity with Windows 10 to restrict RDP into their computers.

I thought only Windows 10 enterprise accepted incoming rdp connections. Maybe his company likes to just get home edition.
