For whatever reason I had a - I guess - classic American ale- with about 30% white grits that was well below my expected OG. I did an iodine test on the last runnings that was negative so I ended up with about 1.040 when I anticipated 1.050. I added a hefty teaspoon to the fermenter and had a gravity of 1.002 after a week or so. Tasted a bit hoppy considering what I expected and I'm curious what it will taste like when it's carbed

I bought some to experiment a while ago but never got to it as I had to brew specific beers. May try some in the lager I'm planning on putting down as my home drinking is to slow to support regular brewing.

This ended up fairly nice. Much better than any of the low carb macro brews. Can anyone point me to a OG/FG calculator that does carbs? My kids in town would like it if I had something decent on tap wasn't loaded with carbohydates.

There's this: http://www.mrgoodbee.../carb-cal.shtml
Their link to the formulas they used (from Beer Recipator) is dead...
