I didn’t have much of a choice. My old Nelsonic finally gave up the ghost. I had it in the pocket of my boiler suit, and I had to lay down underneath a cargo hold fan, and crushed it.

My Crazy Color Blue is obviously a fake, as this was a very popular Casio model, and probably cost quite a bit more than the $10 I paid.

Supposed to be waterproof to 20 BAR. I just drowned it in the fecking shower. Only the light, and the day display work.

when I visited Hong Kong in December 1994, you could already buy pirate Windows 95 disks on the street, it wasn't released to the public until August, 8 months later

When I worked in Hong Kong, a coworker bought a bootleg of Mariah Carey's Greatest Hits. It was Mariah's hits all right, but it was somebody else singing them.

They went to a great deal of effort to duplicate the arrangements. Maybe it was a karaoke disc with a singer. I do not kniw. If you are going to bootleg, why not just copy the original?
