Well just finished season 1. Turns out it was only 7 episodes. For some reason I thought each season was 16. Pretty good so far.
one of the rare occasions where it is worth the 80hrs. with a couple of notable exceptions in the episodes, thru the series almost every episode is better than the previous one, and that goes for the entire run of the series, not just within each season.

Wasn’t what I was expecting. Agree it was slow. Some scenes seemed unnecessarily drawn out

my wife has not viewed the series....I asked if she would watch it with me last night. Surprisingly, she watched the entire thing. I told her that she has to watch the series now to understand the movie.

We just finished season 4 when Gus bites it.
Gus Fring one of the all time great characters on television or in film. Box Cutter is a great episode.

First: We finished rewatching BB. Totally worth it. We gained greater appreciate for the supporting characters.
Skyler was still annoying. I wondered if I'd my opinion would soften knowing how things played out. A little, but still felt the character was a speed bump slowing things down.
Hank was really under appreciated. Went from comic relief to PTSD to Ahab.
Mike was a fan favorite, but enjoyed him more with the back story filled out from Better Call Saul.
Same for Saul. Enjoyed him the first time and even more the second. I liked the seemingly throwaway line that Saul's best case scenario is he's working in a Cinnabon in Omaha and that's where Better Call Saul picks up.
Skinny Pete and Badger... I totally forgot about them. I don't know why because they were great.
I didn't realize Gale was Wags from Billions.
The scene where Jesse is chained up making meth and he's fantasizing about woodworking, then rudely wakes up to his reality. The wife and I were laughing pretty hard that this is me at work.
Anyway, El Camino...
It was a little weird watching this back to back with BB. I think we might have missed a little of the nostalgia returning to the characters when we rolled right into it.
Basically, it's the send off Jesse deserved. I see these being the final two episodes for the series. They're not going to top the series finale, it's more of a wind down. In this way, I think it plays best watching after rewatching the series.
