I believe this week is a litmus test for the Tampa defense.

We've got the donkeys this week.  after the bears got lucky against them and we kinda got lucky against the bears I'd really like to see our Offense break out a little.

If the Patriots hold the Jets without a TD it will be the first time since the 1937 Bears that a team has held an opponent without a TD in the first three games.

I found that amazing.  More that it hasn't happened since 1937, although I'm sure there have been plenty of 3 game stretches without a TD they just weren't the first three games of a season.  This would be the 4th in a row for the Patriots, including the SB.

Looks like 5 is the modern era record by the Steelers in 1976 and 2000.

ETA:  That '76 Steelers team had probably the greatest 9 game run in NFL history.  The last 9 regular season games they went 9-0 with 5 shutouts, only allowed 2 TDs (both against the Oilers), and outscored their opponents 234-28.  It turned out to be one of the years in their late-70s run that they didn't get to the Super Bowl.  They lost to Oakland in the AFCCG.

85-86 Bears was pretty great just nowhere near as sustained.  They allowed less point in '86 than '85.  The crazy playoff run in '85 is what made them great.  10 points allowed in the entire playoffs.  WTF.

Dallas Wins

Eagles Lose

Raiders Lose

Giants win, hey if they  had only benched that overrated Manning they might have won some game sooner.

It was kind of a downer that the Jets scored ST and Def TDs, it overshadows the fact that the Pats defense has only allowed 6 points in the last 4 games.

That's about as bad as you can get.  I wonder when the last time was that a team start so poorly?

The Pats kicking game has a problem because they get so little game experience.

The 0-16 Lions weren't this bad on the scoreboard at least, at thsi point in the season they were outscored 113 - 59,

The 76 Bucks scored fewer points but the differential wasn't as bad 57-9 through three games
