I wouldn't say his musical style was my favorite, but he did play a part of the soundtrack to my growing up.  RIP Eddie!

You can't deny that he produced some iconic music.

Lived locally, his music was ok, my best memories of him was needing help with his kids bikes when I worked at “package pick up” at Toys R US

I'd heard about the cancer diagnosis.   :( He was definitely part of the 80's soundtrack.

Had to give him points for bringing back Ronnie Spector too.

Not gonna deny it at all!

I do recall recording this song off the radio, including the crappy lead in "intro" with the local DJ talking about Ronnie and her involvement in the song and how it wasn't just a sampling. For the longest time, when I heard the song, I thought it was odd without the DJ intro because I heard it so much off of my mix tape.

Many years ago, I lived in Jacksonville Beach, FL. My roommates were Dennis, and his then girlfriend, later wife, June.

June was a bartender at a place called DJ’s on Mayport road.

Every time “Shakin’ “ came on the radio, or jukebox, No mater what activity she was involved in, June would stop, and do the dance.

She would shake it, snap her fingers, and move it round and round, and up and down.
