The vape hunt is evidence of anecdotal tyranny.

Michigan just banned them.  I still haven't figured out why.

Efficacy in demonization and the intolerance it breeds.

Supposedly it makes it more attractive to kids. What I don’t get is the flavors are legal, you could just mix your own, no? I think Trump is saying they make people sick

That was the governor’s stated reason. Whether she said it or not, the news kept reporting obviously only kids buy “fruit loop” flavored vape. Though it is now separately illegal to sell to kids in MI.

the governor’s ban is only an executive order. She is using legislative leverage to raise taxes.

It's more dangerous than military style weapons.

A part of me understands why... The flavors sure do seem to vaping very "candy" like.  With far more serious health issues.

The libertarian part of me sees this as an overreach only big government can justify.

Debatable. I'd almost say it's absurd. Not a dig at you, but the general *need* to find fault with vaping.

Now, there may be certain brands that have production issues and introduce contaminants. In that case, they need to be shut down. But banning the entire class of products is literally cuz "white cloud BAD!"

It's not the name branded stuff that is causing the problems. It's blackmarket cbd and thc stuff that is killing our kids.

But, why not take a page from the anti-gun nutter's book and lump everything together and ban it all?

The problem is black market refilled cartridges. They have chemicals that are not in the manufactured products.
As someone who uses a juul, I prefer the flavors.

The two beards united!

But I think we all agree its a subset, not a system-wide problem. Likewise, the stories about people hooking a car battery to their e-device to get that mega puff and the hilarity that ensues there are not issues with "vaping" per se.

No issues with the nicotine?

For sure the blackmarket stuff is bad.

For sure the blackmarket stuff is bad.

It's an addictive substance. Activates the sympathetic nervous system. Can be acutely toxic in concentrated doses.

Physiological effects are comparable to caffeine.

The black market CBD and THC carts are only available because the federal government refuses to legalize it. It’s really quite an embarrassment. The drug war loses hard. I agree with vagus.
