My GFs daughter is applying for jobs and one of them is asking her to take a CCAT/Wonderlic so I was looking around trying to help her find some practice tests.

How "smart" is the PH?  Looks like the average score is ~60%...can you do better?

50 questions, 15 minutes.

Post score and time to finish.

I admit, there were 3 or 4 where I just guessed because i was too lazy to attempt math.

I got interrupted, so didn't finish within the 15 minute time limit.  I got to 38 questions completed and answered 28 correctly.  I did guess at 5 during the last 15 seconds in an attempt to maybe get lucky on getting them right.  I have not looked at the answers, so can retake it later if I'm so inclined.

That being said...

I figure not bad for essentially not reading all the questions and answering only 34 questions legitimately.

I got 48 in 11:59.  I don't know which ones I got wrong but I did take some guesses because i though time would be an issue.  If I knew I'd have 3 minutes to spare I probably could've gotten 50.  I guess that's part of the challenge.

I messed up seeing how many of the lines were the same.

on the cab fare one I read it wrong and didn't notice that tuesday and wednesday were already added up.

so honestly a lot of this is just how quick you are with arithmetic which I guess is useful but not nearly as useful as knowing how to solve any problem even if the numbers don't work out nicely.

I always have a hard time with the number sequence ones.

Edit : didn't realize they had the answers. actually, got all the sequence ones right. Made 1 dumb mistake due to not reading carefully , didn't take enough time on two of the arithmetic ones, and missed one of the which names are the same questions.

I hate those b/c I spend too much time on them.  really what it comes down to is figuring out what sort of game they are playing and if you have been looking at these sorts of problems recently it puts you at a huge advantage to just blindly check the few classes of patterns it might be.  I really dislike the ones that have two interleaved sequences.

I spent like 1.5 minutes on the first one!

and then they put in stupidly easy stuff like "which number is the smallest" or a multiplication series with a zero in there.  this test is all over the place!!!

I got the first number sequence right but I still don't know why (the one that starts with 31).  I've looked at it for several minutes and I still can't figure it out.

I don't think I was asked that one or I guessed and got lucky b/c I'm not immediately sure either.

They aren't all new questions.  There's a lot of overlap.

FYI I filled in the answer.  they only gave the first four numbers, you had to guess the fifth.

it has to be something quick and easy...

I spent too much time on that one. Ended up guessing as I thought I was running out of time.

I see the pattern now but I'm not sure there is only one answer to it although there may have only been one in the options presented that fits.  if what I think is true that's kind of a lame pattern b/c there isn't a unique answer.
