Staying in Alpharetta

Dinner on our own tomorrow. Wanna do a brewpub or great beer bar

My go to in ATL has always been 5 Seasons in Roswell. Still open? What else?

5 Seasons Roswell closed a couple years back.

Looks like there's From The Earth Brewing up at 1570 Holcomb Bridge Rd, Roswell.

I'm sure there's a Max Lager's somewhere up that way.

Ironmonger Brewery is more of a small taproom up near Alpharetta. They have a sitting area. They do have some really good offerings. Really inexpensive growlers if you just want to take some back to the room. It is worth a stop if you are near it.

Yeah, that was my birthday dinner spot. I haven't checked but there was a 5 Seasons up towards Alpharetta and down around GA Tech.

*edit* Looks like all the 5 Seasons locations are closed.

I once visited that midtown location. I think it was the brewer from Dogwood running the brewing operation there

I have family in that area and I was just down in Decatur for a wedding in May but I don't remember any of the local beer names outside of Sweetwater and also Creature Comforts who make some great beer.  Here's an Alpharetta map but I have never been to any of these places...

I'm headed that way this weekend.

Just realized that Jekyll is like a half mile from the hotel

I think that will be our starting point

Miller's ale house isn't anything special as far as beer. They would have Sam Adams, Guinness snpa etc. They are serviceable for bar food but nothing special

I think we will start at Jekyll

The place Butcher and Brew on Ken’s map might be the next stop. I think I’ve been there before. Seems like there are 2-3 choices for gastropubs near there for dinner and beer

Ironmonger is a little too far for Uber

I like when the description of a place starts with "BEER AND MEAT-FOCUSED...".  Seems like a win-win-win-win.

Had dinner at Salt Factory Pub, which was great. Hit Butcher and Brew for one beer after, but it was closing (at like 9:30)
