I rarely fly

But this week I have a meeting that’s a 7 hour drive

The meeting started at 1:00 on Monday, ends at 5:00 today. Three and a half days trapped in a conference room, plus group dinners every night

No way I wanted to add 14 hours of driving onto that. Flying won’t actually be any faster, but hopefully I won’t be quite so exhausted

Standing in Vancouver International right. Nice flight from SFO. I wish all flying was this easy.

How is the construction going at SFO? I fly in there on tuesday. Everybody is complaining like they have shut the airport down.

Beer tastes pretty good at the airport, especially when my company is buying

There is one runway that they are working on. Some days it causes bunch of flights to be canceled, others delayed.

Next day, no problems. They have another couple weeks of construction.

I will be coming come home to SFO Tuesday as well. I will keep an eye out for you.

I have a job on hold because we need to work in a manhole on a taxiway at MDW. Every time we try to schedule it we get there and the wind shifts, causing a runway change. Then ww neeed to shut down and gtfo. It's a major fiber backbone we are placing. The manhole was there prior to the airport expansion, it's rare to need access, but we do this time.

Longer because people would be wearing 5 days worth of clothes and overcoats with some deep ####in pockets.

Most likely this.

Heading home shortly.

In a rocking chair at the moment. This isn’t so bad.
They have rocking chairs in mental institutions too.

No, it seems gross to me.

And to put my entire week in perspective, the guy that I was there with (training) said that no one could tell his wife that he drinks Diet Coke when he’s on travel.

Sigh.
