'03 with 82k Miles, 5sp manual. No extreme mods which is something I've been looking for that way I can dress it up to my tastes. It's been garage kept and lived its life in CO. No rust. The top is the original one that came with the Jeep. I pick it up tomorrow.

Very nice looking Jeep! Did they take the rear bumper off it?

I sold my '97 a few weeks ago. I had built it primarily to use offroad, then the need disappeared. My motivation to keep working on it disappeared along with it. You can pretty much modify everything on the vehicle to suit your needs and tastes. This is both a good thing and a bad thing. :D

The rear and front bumpers are Warn. I realize this could be a money pit but you only live once???

Too numerous to list. I won't be rock crawling but old river beds and the like will be on the short list.

Rubicon has a couple nice features if you’re not looking to build a crazy rock bouncer.
Better transfer case low range and slightly upgrades front axle with lockers front and rear all factory.
Put a mild lift, SYE, and 33-35” tires on it and you’ll have a good rig for what you’re describing. Heck, stock form it’s probably not bad, just nice to have a bit more clearance.
I’ve got an ’06 YJ unlimited which has the better front axle and transfer case and 11” more wheelbase.
Mine also came with the hardtop but I bought a rampage soft top that is frameless and zips apart into a bikini top. I’d buy the bestop version if I had it to do over but like it well enough for summer use.
Haven’t actually put the hard top back on in two years.

Got it home this evening. Idajack I’m looking at about a 2.5” lift with some 33’s. That will be about perfect for my use. I think a black wheel will look good on it too.

I’m gonna research the max tire size for the back. I know bigger tires can stress the back gate. I may have to invest in another rear bumper or see if this one can be modded. The previous owner did put Warn bumpers on it.

After you get bigger than 33, the speedometer needs to adjusted. Most will require new gears. I say some as some already come geared to handle 35s. Mico's Xterra has a 2.5 lift. After driving it in wind, I would not want any more than that.

I’m running no real lift but did pick up a brand new set of springs and shocks off a 2107 rubicon unlimited which essentially gave me 1.5 inches or so over the stock stuff and 31” tires. I have plenty of clearance for what I’ve done on forest roads and mild wheeling.
Depends on what bumper you’ve got but you may be able to add a swing away tire carrier to what is already there.
My speedometer is off by a mile or two according to GPS but I know that and adjust accordingly. You can get a different gear for the trans if it’s all that important to you.
I also pulled the stock “running boards” and like the look a lot more. The rocker guards look sharp but you may want to check them out for any rust underneath since that also seems to be a common issue.
But from what I see it looks like a fun rig to get out in the woods and will make a good daily driver as well.
Enjoy the hell out of it.

They could be plasti-dipped for now to see what you think, peels off easily enough.
