my UO hate is nearly as high as my UW hate, nearly...

I don’t have as much UO or UW hate these days. The bandwagon UO fans dropped off, so they don’t really talk about football. I have given up on UW. Their fans are still obnoxious, but Wazzu is never going to win the Apple Cup while Peterson is at UW.

One year I braved the crowds at the Lilac festival in downtown Spokane. UW had a float with football players on it. The crowd boo'd it as it rolled by. It was pretty awesome.

I thought you were a big Tate fan when he was at tOSU and Justin fields transferred in

not really, I was just curious about the hype around him and he never really got to play, wanted to see him get a shot to see if the hype was real or not is all.

Michigan beats OSU. Rest of the season doesn't matter. You've heard it here first. Sorry to Lou.

there is no reason Michigan should beat tOSU. 1st year qb, 1st year head coach and the game is in michigan

Lynch is too predictable in the same regard, defense? Running game? nahh just throw 67 times a game.

My Beavers will once again finish in the bottom 3rd of the PAC-12. The good thing about living in a PAC-12 town with a not very good football team is tickets are cheap. Even for marquee teams. I won’t make the Leland Stanford Junior University game, but I’ll be at the UW game.

The QB, Jake Luton, has all the makings of a quality NFL career backup. 6’6”, 240 pounds. Absolute cannon for an arm. I’ve seen him chuck it 60 yards off his back foot in practice. Into the student parking lot behind Reiser Stadium, on a long sideline route. Inside 12 yards though, he’s pretty fecking deadly if he’s upright. He’s big, he’s not terribly slow, and he makes decent decisions on the breakdown. He’ll fare well running a dummy O. He won’t win any, but he won’t lose any either.

Nike has reissued the Air Pegasus in both OSU, and UO colors in celebration of The Civil War. My wife bought ours yesterday. God willing, and the creek don’t rise, we will represent at Autzen later this year.

Nine wins if the Gators can avoid injury.  The starting 22 are really good, but the team is thin in the depth department on the o-line and at LB.  The DL played very well against Miami and I think Miami is better than most thought going into the season.  Avoiding injuries and Franks crapping the bed, Florida should be a pretty strong team.  I don't see them winning the East and playing Bama in Atlanta, but I think they'll keep moving in the right direction.  If they can somehow manage to beat UGA, I'll have a chubby for a month.  And then piss all over the FSU ratbastids, bang their ole ladies and flip off their moms on the way out.

I am hopeful for a 7-5 season, 8-4 would be great. Pruitt recruited well last year despite our record and I think if he shows that type of improvement we could land a top 10 class this year.

I share your optimism, VolFan. I have lived in East Tennessee for ten years now, and they are on their fifth head coach in that period of time (not counting interim coaches). That does not make for a strong program. I do think bringing Fulmer back in as AD was a good move, though...if nothing else, he is a reminder of the glory days at UT. I also think Pruitt is making the right choices so far in turning the program around. Beating Auburn last year was a good confidence builder, and I think they are going to have a winning season this year.
