mechanically they are a trailblazer / Colorado. They are a general motor parts bin car. Should be cheap.

Body panels might be hard to get but it sound like this is going to get beat around off road so dents should not matter

I told mom if he is getting this, it is under the condition it's getting muddy. There is little that is truly Hummer only parts except the frame and body parts.

I wrecked my first car six months after I got it. My wife wrecked her first car five months after she got it. Our kid's first car will be safe, and boring, and cheap. :)

The hummer has the best crash test videos I have ever watched. The 2003 F150 we were considering had a disaster crash test. The cab just exploded. The Hummer is about as safe as you can get....for the driver and passengers.

Just drove a really nice Hummer H3. This was as good as they get. Feck that. It drives like a mini deuce and a half. 4 wheel drive is solid, but feels really odd after years of 4 wheeling in a jeep. It had a reverse camera, but that is a lot to do using two mirrors and scanning back to the center display.

I'm pretty sure my GF's son beat you on that. It was the first week IIRC. He hasn't had a car since. Over 3 years since the crash.

Yep, he beat me by almost 4 years

Gusso, my first car was a hand me down 70 Dodge Dart.

It's saving grace was a 340 4-barrel V8 in a light body...surprisingly quick off the line. Dad bought it new and had them put the largest engine in it because he wanted to tow the camper.

I drove for ten years before an accident. That's not counting the old lady who backed out of a parking spot into me while I was sitting still, but even that was 8 years.

You assume WRONG my friend! The best part of having boys is buying them shit that you get to play with. :)
