Call him up and matter-of-factly explain that you don't think the job is right for you, so thanks but you'll have to decline the offer. Then, ask him out. With all that conversation already it will be like a second date.

He was very talkative! As am I.

No you hang up, no YOU

Just tell them you appreciate their time, but you do not believe it is a good fit for you.

What wonderful news, I wish you all the happiness in the world. Try not to be a dick and I’m sure it will work out.

I kind of want the details. I imagine a lot of crying, on both sides.

Pediatric oncology nurse. Really good person. Sometimes we support each other’s struggles because we do emotionally tough shit for a living

That's not a job I would want, though.

Be honest with the recruiter. You are the customer. If you think the company is a bad fit or the staff is a collection nimrods, tell the recruiter so.

What are you afraid of? May the recruiter will stop wasting people’s time by sending them to inverview at the office of nimrods

Oh goodness, no, it wasn’t that bad. They just didn’t give off much personality for the people who were going to be my bosses... I couldn’t get a feel for their personalities. Really robotic.

For what ever the reason, you do not want the job. Do not accept it and you can be honest with the recruiter why. You have no obligation to accept a position.

Well that was tough, but it’s just business, I need to remember. They tried to throw another 2k at me, but the other place feels more organic, I like their approach so much more.

I don’t believe I’ve ever said no to $2,000 before today. Feels right, though.

On to the next chapter...
