Slight tangent.  I've been toying with the idea of building a flintlock rifle.  As part of that, I've subscribed to Muzzleloader magazine to learn more.  A nice benefit to the magazine is that every issue has articles on colonial history, a lot of it being pre-revolutionary.  Its really good reading.

Seems like in school, US History was mostly the pilgrims came over on the Mayflower, then we had a revolution and oh yeah, there were some skirmishes with the French and the Indians along the way.  The magazine does a good job of filling in the gaps.

What does the group do?

That's more my question.  Other than march in parades, and do some other civic stuff, I can't find much. I'm not looking to join a political organization.  I was hoping one of youse guys were a member or knew of some.
