I asked my son what his dream vehicle is? An older Jeep. I told my wife that when my oldest son answered a Ninja 250, that is what I bought him and taught him to be safe with it and she was not on board at first, but was there when we gave it to him. I see no reason not to make Mico aware of the dangers of rolling a Jeep by over correcting and jerking the wheel. He and my wife can take a country highway 15 minutes to school. I think she is over reacting demanding he is in a truck.

I found a 2002 Jeep in really good shape with 97K miles on it. From what I read the 4 cylinder engine in it can go 300K with proper car.

Jeeps are fun. Don’t drive like a dumbass and they aren’t that tippy.

It is not lifted. New tires. 97K miles. Asking $4K.

Mico is responsible, but he also is a goofball at times. The hold my beer gene is strong after spending most of his youth playing travel team and varsity sports.

I drove a 2002 TJ just like it for 10 years and never tipped over.

I destroyed the suspension, the tires, the windshields. Drove it through hurricanes and blizzards. No issues.

When it was time for me to drive my dad asked my mom what what I should drive and she said, " a tank". I ended up with an f150 long bed work truck that could hardly get out of it's own way. I did floor it to the keys in that truck and it stopped out at 91 mph.

If that was in my town, I would go buy it today. I sold a mid 90s TJ with 180k miles for 5k about 10 yrs ago. Last year I sold an 06TJ with over 180k mikes for 6k. Different market up here.

I've been preaching that for this area. I'd be all over that for 4k. I've been looking at them this morning.

He wanted a 4x4 for secluded beaches here. Probably some mud too.

I don't think I'd worry about a jeep if he rides a bike already

Oh sorry, you have another son that had a bike.

The jeep will be fine. Probably easy enough to fix too.
