Saw this on FB site. Apparently, from what I can gather, the homebrewing market wasn't probable enough for AB InBev; who knew that targeting a minority in the beer drinking market, who goes thru the labor of making there own beer wasn't going to make gangbusters. Not sure how to feel about this. I stopped buying from NB way before the AB/InBev buy out. what to you all think?

I've stayed away from NB/Midwest since they came up with their "priority shipping" nonsense which basically means that if you don't ask for the priority shipping they assume you don't need it quickly and so they wait for days to even acknowledge that you ordered something. I think a week went by and I didn't even get a ship notice so I emailed them and asked if they got my order. "Yeah, but you chose standard shipping so we'll probably pick it, pack it and ship it next week". Oh, thanks. There are way too many places that are better.

that is why, when I buy online, go to other sites that keep the customer in mind. even before the original buy-out, I had a hard time waiting nearly 2 weeks for an order, especially ordering yeast, while other website would get to the door in under 5 days; large on-line shops, and/or local shops I made friends with, but had a solid shipping program.

Right. That shipping thing they tried to pull off left a bad taste in my mouth (LIKE A BELGIAN! )... so I started using great places like RiteBrew, Label Peelers, etc. I really like places that realize that the customer is king and that people will spread good news about a supplier... bad news too.

Good, I have not ordered much at all from them lately. More Beer has gotten some of my biz - I honestly don't know who owns it.

I think the owners are same few guys that started it in the first place. I only know More Beer from their retail stores. Always nice guys,
When I mail order, it is usually Williams Brewing. They are a couple cities up the road, so it is a day or two away. Never a problem. They will not let you come and do a will call. I tried.
