Nice.  I was at a brewery today and their SMaSH was very nice.  Seemed like some sort of pale ale malt/GP/MO and Citra but it could have been Galaxy.  Our whole table was drinking it and it makes me want to make something similar.

Wow. That is amazing.

 

I tend to use the IBU integer and/or the bitterness ratio is what I remember what I like. Or finding a recipe that seems about right.

 

I might have to go to start using the the Pemberton scale. Any IBU is too much.  :smilielol:  :chug:  :cabbagepatch:

 

And that's true not just of his formula, but any of them.  That's why most breweries develop custom utilization curves.

Kind of why I just use the spreadsheet I have. Started as a download from somewhere but I have tweaked it to my tastes and system.
