[Bklmt2000]

Picked this one up yesterday on Steam for $15.  Money well spent.

 

Surprisingly challenging side-scroller type of shooter; reminds me (a lot) of the old NES game Contra.

 

Anyone else have/playing this one?

This was highly recommended to me for multiple reasons. haven't had a chance to check it out yet, but sounds cool as shit.

After a few days with it, I can say it's definitely a fun game, but using the keyboard/mouse as the controller setup is pretty challenging.

 

I think this game was really meant to be played with a gamepad, like an Xbox or PS3/4 controller. 

 

And, some of the levels are challenging to the point of being a bit frustrating (probably in part to using a keyboard/mouse vs. a gamepad). 

 

But overall a fun game.

Bump for a minor update: if you get this game, get a gamepad for it if you don't already have one.

 

My son got me a gamepad for Father's Day, and it made a world of difference.  Highly recommended.
