I'm working with a commercial brewery to build a cask for a festival (shameless plug for any locals: https://www.eventbri...ets-57470233014). Most likely the beer available is their Saison series that already gets additions of rose (they are cycling various mostly floral additions).

Anyone have any ideas about what I should add to a pin to complement this sort of beer?

like you want to dry hop the beer or do you mean another flavoring agent?  I really have no idea what rose tastes like.  how about a fruit?  raspberry perhaps?

I dont like how roses smell so I have trouble picturing that in a beer and how it would pair with other flavors.

They are doing a Saison series that does a series of floral additions. The current version is rose pedals. Don't have much say in that. I ended up getting some rose hips at the lbbs (which I'm told will lend a citrus note).

I'm not a fan of overdosing with multiple ingredients. I'd rather have a flavor plan in mind and add what is necessary to get there.

That being said, jasmine might work and keep the theme, but I'd definitely test it out first. Maybe strawberry would work as well.

Thanks for the suggestions. I need to remember to ask this sort of thing earlier. Rose water might have made sense but not really a lot of time for deciding and testing. I went with rose hips but just an oz and more hops (1oz crystal, which i was made with).

I need to figure out what'll do with the other two oz of rose hips. I think I have some white whiskey I might fill up a mason jar with them to try and test dose some things.
