hurts vs Heinz seems like a Bud vs Miller vs Coors argument. I understand you can have a preference but to love one and hate the other seems odd

Not really. They're completely different products. Hunt's is a ketchup that is great on fries, burgers, and fish. Heinz is good for.... pancakes, I guess?

You out it on a bologna sandwich, but say it is wrong on fries?
You're backwards.

I also eat ketchup on hot dogs. My favorite is Hunts Ketchup, Plochman’s yellow mustard, and white onions. I just don’t like it on French fries.

they must really load up on the vinegar in hunts.  it actually has more calories per serving so I have to assume that is in the form of sugar.

It's hard to beat a Mormon 'fry sauce' which is pretty much just mayo and ketchup in equal quantities.  I rarely do it, though, because I don't need the extra calories.

I think fry sauce around here means those two plus either pickle or jalapeno brine.

Seems like that’s close to what Freddy’s has, though its sweet pickle juice, which is horrendous

Wouldn’t mind trying it with jalapeño brine

Didn’t realize they had a hot fry sauce. They are new to this area, so I’ve only been once or twice

I will say that their curds are way better than Culver’s
