The Swastika is probably the most well known. It is interesting to see the feck you hand symbol being co-opted by white supremacists. I know Humdum, Brian, Cozmo, and others put up pictures of it on Facebook joking about. The shooter in New Zealand used it when brought in to the courtroom.

You think the hand gesture will always be seen as White Supremacists from know on?

In some of the European countries I lived in the OK sign or upside down OK sign was. It is the same as flipping someone the bird.

In Brazil, Germany, Russia, and many other countries around the world, the OK. sign is a very offensive gesture because it is used to depict a private bodily orifice. The OK sign actually does mean “okay” in the United States, however in Japan it means “money,” and it is commonly used to signify “zero” in France.

As an amateur vexillologist, it pains me to no end when historical flags are adopted by misguided groups. A couple come to mind, most recently the Tea Party adopting the Gadsden flag from the American Revolution (yellow coiled rattlesnake "Don't Tread on Me"). Then, whatever worthless drivel is spewed by said group, a perfectly good symbol of American History is soiled. If you are a student of history and you display such a flag, you are labeled with that adopted ideology.

The Nazi adoption of the Swastika is an extreme example of this and as such represents a (Native American among other groups) symbol that is perhaps beyond redemption in the long term despite its origin.

I was unaware of white supremacists adopting the symbol of a silly adolescent game. I'll think twice about flashing it or posting it now.

I remember from a documentary that the Klan hand gesture is three digits, can be the thumb and two fingers or three fingers held at the chest of waist. The first time I heard of this gesture was after the Charlottesville rally. It seems to be a very current grab at a symbol.

Is this serious?

Maybe it's just a coincidence that all white supremacists happen to be bromos.
