I last brewed on January 23 which is not that long ago.  I have one empty keg at the moment so there is plenty of beer.  But it's been really miserable here lately and this weekend we're supposed to have near-zero temps.  There are icebergs as far as the eye can see... giant frozen blobs of snow and ice everywhere and the ground is as hard as a rock.  I feel like it's been awhile since I brewed but I have no real desire to brave the weather.  When necessary I have brewed when it was 20° but I'm just not about it at the moment.  :P

I brewed 4 times in January and zero in February. Illness killed any chance or desire. Fingers crossed for a simple apa next weekend.

It's actually 31° and sunny at the moment which makes it a BEAUTIFUL day here compared to what it's been like.  I could probably brew today without issue but making 10 batches of beer in 7 weeks (or whatever that was) has me in good shape.

I hear you Ken. I actually got a batch in 2 weeks ago, but at least my garage is attached! It was only my second lager, so I'm still waiting on it.

Empty taps makes Jayb a dull boy!

Gotta get brewing soon, but with the weather they're calling for no way I'm hanging out in the garage.

Right.  Plus... things just don't want to work in the cold.  Don't get me wrong, I would brew if I were low on beer but I'm glad I don't have to.  Spring brewing can be the best of all worlds... temps in the 60s (ish) but still ultra-cold ground-water!  :D

I brew a few times in winter, mainly out of necessity, and when the weather/work/etc. line up that I can sneak in a workday brewday.

But next week, our weather people say it'll be stupid cold out, and as Ken said, I find more mishaps occur when trying to brew when it's well below freezing.  Not worth it to brew in that kind of weather.

However, the week of the 11th looks to be better (highs in the 50's), so a brewday (maybe 2!) will happen.

The beer must flow.

majority of my brewing happens in fall, then x-mas vacation and then mid spring to get me through the summer where I don't usually brew at all.

Summer and winter brewing I find to be the most challenging seasons to brew in, with winter being the worst of the 2, hands-down.

15 inches of snow here last week.  I just got my internet back after being out the whole week.  But it's melting and I finally got back into the brewery today!

I always brew during the overnight hours; a blessing in the summer. Been dragging my butt for a month to brew; the weather's been a drag. Forcing myself to brew tomorrow.

We have maybe a few more weeks here before the heat makes a brew day a sweaty endeavor.  I haven't had the urge because I'm on a mission to get back down to 200#.  Sugar and carbs = beer pushed to a couple-3 pints on the weekends.  Sorta curbed my enthusiasm.  My next batch in a couple weeks will be an APA however.

Currently 0° here in Chicago.  That's zero.  Doughnut.  Bagel.  I'm sure neddles has some negatives now (appears to be -12° there according to the Google machine).  So... very glad I'm not brewing today.  :P  Next weekend does show some 40s however.

Yeah it's not warm. I'm glad I didn't pick this week for my return to brewing.

Once I got smart enough to buy a CO monitor and realized I wouldn't kill myself brewing with my garage door down, the winter brewing is ON!    I don't brew much between late May and early October.  It's just too damn hot.        I'm considering giving up alcohol for Lent, so my lagers should be well-lagered by Easter.    :o

Had the day off and brewed.  Outdoor thermometer read 1df at mash in.  The brewery was 67df - brewed in shorts

Went down to tap a beer around 3:30 this afternoon and KKKKSSSSHHHH!  That's keg #2 to blow so... I think my brewery is open again.  I just smacked a pack of 1056 and it's expanding by the minute.  I may try to get a brewday in on Sunday... a "clean" pale ale with Nugget, Styrian Golding, Crystal and Glacier.  Weather shows 41° and gray.  I'll take it.
