Merging the two since they are usually similar.

Trapped two coons and a possum last night. I let all three walk. But tomorrow, no one gets clemency!

Jay is very proud of this one, measured out to 176", should shrink a little once its fully dried in a few months, but a very respectable score, especially down there, lots of big body/small rack deer

I’ve been there.

Three times. Delicious meat though. Just not too much of it

I have been there twice. If you hunt long enough, you're going to shoot something with a smooth head sporting nuts.

We have all been there at some point. Good opportunity to use it as a teaching moment

I ate one back in December. Typically we just skin and toss. I’m trying to get away from being so wasteful with the meat though.

Are you selling or using the hides?  Any $ in them these days?

Nice buck!

So I'm not a whitetail guy, they must measure them different to gross that at 176?  That pretty large mulie I shot was mid 170s and not diminishing that really nice buck at all but with and extra point on each side and the longer fork aspects on a mulie I am having trouble figuring how they would score similar:

Was surprised the time I flipped over an antelope "doe" that had balls and then went back and looked more closely at the buck fawn nubs on its head.

Venison stock?

I've been making stock the last couple years from bones.
