Sony is calling the new feature “the next chapter in the original story,” saying it continues the narrative of the 1980s classic. It has also been described as a passing of the torch, “both inside and out.”

What is unclear is if any of the original members will return. Sources say that Reitman is on the lookout to cast four teens in the movie, two boys and two girls.

Jason Reitman is directing. I'm intrigued.

Leslie Jones isnt happy with this films direction

Leslie Jones Slams New 'Ghostbusters' Film: "It's Like Something Trump Would Do"

No Leslie this is what happens when a movie barely, or maybe doesn't break even.

The studio has said break-even would be $300 million. Filmed earned 229 million.

Ghostbusters co-creator Dan Akyroyd confirms he’ll appear alongside returning co-stars Bill Murray, Sigourney Weaver and Annie Potts in the Jason Reitman-directed Ghostbusters 3,
so far known as Ghostbusters 2020. Aykroyd, who first revealed he would be reprising Ray Stantz in September, produces alongside Reitman’s father, Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II director Ivan Reitman, for Sony-based Ghost Corps. A direct sequel to the continuity established in 1984, GB20 will focus on a so far unnamed family portrayed by Mckenna Grace (Captain Marvel, Annabelle Comes Home), Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things, IT) and Carrie Coon (Fargo, Avengers: Infinity War), with Paul Rudd (Avengers: Endgame, Living With Yourself) playing a seismologist and teacher.

I met Harold Ramis one time when I was touring the Sony studios (my mom's cousin was the head lawyer for Sony Pictures so we were getting a private tour).  He was a total dick to my 10 year old cousin who recognized him as Egon, telling him to "shut your mouth, kid".  Since then I was soured on celebrities of "mild fame".  Kinda killed a bit of my childhood to know that "Egon" was actually an asshole.
