I'm building a L shaped enclosure for my wife's tortoise and not sure where to start. I have all the wood cut and stained but not sure if I need to build the frame first then put the backing on or attach the walls to the backing as I go around.

How much wood could a brewman chuck if a brewman could chuck wood?

Honestly, if you have some big clamps then it should be easy. If you don't then you should get a kreg jig. It's easy to get things out of square if you don't have either of those. I'm guessing since you stained the wood that this is going to be inside and look nice then you probably want it to be nice and square.

I'd say frame first, get it square and then put on the walls and nice looking bits.

Oh I had a vision and a plan,  I drew it all out,  measured the wood, cut it and then was not sure the order to put it together.  I figured it out and it came out nicely. Now I just need to stain the corner pieces and build in the hide which will go at the end of the short side.

The scooter is my stepsons, he never rides it anymore now that he has a car and works 20 miles away.

Its not a leftover,  its part of the hide that I have not installed yet.

The hide is done, the top is not attached but I made it to friction fit.
