Ah, no. Terrible for peanut butter and jelly. Even worse for French toast. I actually tried that last week after realizing I was out of white bread.

Yeah, rye bread sucks for PB&J or French toast.

Pastrami, roast beast and other similar meats only. Ruebens suck though.

I could go for rye bread at breakfast with eggs and bacon. Could also make good croutons. Good with most things savory. Peanut butter is often thought of as a sweet item but shouldn't be, really, unless it's shitty sweetened peanut butter. Peanut butter on rye with a small amount of the right jelly (say, a spicy one, more of a chutney type effect) could actually be decent, but I've never tried.

Reuben sandwiches are delicious and I don't want to contemplate a world where they don't exist.

Beyond agreeing with Mr. Rami, the best thanksgiving stuffing I've ever had and made is because of rye bread.

Rye is great. Just not a good pairing with sweet.

No YOU suck!

The finest sammich I ever had was a hot pastrami on rye at a Jewish deli in L.A. I still have dreams about that sammich.

I've been eating a lot of rye lately and I'm surprised how well it works with things..

It has a weird sweetness to it that I like.

Would that be Langer’s Deli? It downtown across from MacArthur Park?

You got to have the “#19” Sofa King good!
