Supposed to be a dusting here starting tonight and going into Saturday. I ain't shook. This has been an unbelievably mild winter so far (plenty of sun and 50° temps) aside from one major snow we had the Sunday after thanksgiving. Still, I'm not outside in the backyard drinking beer so... winter can bite it.

Yeah. Our neighbors were all (mostly) joking after Christmas that for New Year's we should have had a block party with a bonfire to burn all the wrapping paper and Christmas tres. It has been a pleasant winter so far.

Last Saturday was insane... 55°, sun, no wind.  My wife and I went for a walk without coats and when I got back I washed my car!

Freaking madhouse. No carts at all and hard to move through the aisles. Luckily, Kroger here still has express lines with cashiers. I was in and out in five minutes, and the woman in front of me in line flirted with me about having the right idea for the storm (whisky, vermouth, and bitters only)

Restaurant week here.  Cancelled reservations for a place on the MO side of town.  KCMO won't have the streets cleared for a week or until it melts.  Going to a BBQ place about a mile away instead.

They're going to have their work cut out clearing Arrowhead stadium.  Parking lot/tailgating opens at 10:30 and kickoff is at 3:35

Sounds like when my son used to cashier at our local Krogers up until a year ago.

He had to go to the doctor today, and on the way home, he stopped in Kroger to get a few items (this was ~11am).

Said the place was a complete zoo, even at that hour.  He said days like today were the ones he hated the most when he worked there.

We had a good start to winter here but hasn't panned out to much so far. Winter is my favorite season, more and more. Love enjoying hiking, mountain biking, etc with far fewer people around.

Clear skies high of 53, low of 36

No snow in a year or so

No serious snow in 10

I kind of miss it on a sentimental level, but reality....

Thirteen inches and still coming, tho it has slowed a bit. Dogs have been out womping around and loving it. The five year old has never seen this much. Just missed Snowmaggedon of 2012.

expecting up to 3 inches here. They brined the main roads and took the precaution to put a good layer of sand down on the beaches for traction.
