Plane tickets are stupidly cheap so I'm going to grab one. No idea what to do there but was thinking of taking the ferry to Estonia or maybe Stockholm.

Any suggestions?

I know a Finnish guy who shares photos of his kids at the Rosala Viking center.  There's some sort of contest where people run a race while holding Viking weapons.

Sorry, that's all I've got on Finland.

Perfect if you're into winter sports. I'd go in a heartbeat.

I'm cool with that. I'll probably go in April for a week.  $298 round trip with no crazy layovers is too good to pass up.  But Denmark is only $30 more so I have a decision to make

Never been, but those prices are low enough to fly into HEL and hop around to other parts of Europe. HEL to Paris is $150. $500 to Europe from Seattle is lower than anything I've ever seen.

It's pretty crazy right now.  Fuel prices are expected to be low this summer and the airlines are also hurting a bit.  Check out Skyscanner for some deals

Coworker went last summer. Had a blast, came home exhausted. 22 hours of daylight a day will do that to you. He said with all the light, they would hit a second wind after dinner and go do something for Few more hours. Then it'd be 0200 and they were like feck we gotta sleep

At least both countries are loaded with Engrish speakers, but you could have put your Rooskie to work in Finland

I can't speak for Finland, but if Estonia is on the list also check out Lithuania. I was there around 2001. Anna Kornokova would have been an average chick walking around Vilnius or Kaunas.
