Feel free to post all that stuff. We're probably going to institute some sort of Archive/FAQ/How-To type of area and so these threads could possibly end up there in one form or another. The possibility also exists that we may be able to use at least part of the old FAQ.I was wondering if there is any preference or ideas about creating topics on stuff that we posted on the old site. I created documents and saved a lot of my posts so that I wouldn't lose the information if something happened. I'm a gadget geek so most of my stuff is equipment related. I can re-create threads on my brew rig (like what VolFan did in the Beer forum), electric wiring and GFCIs, NG plumbing and burners, my controller for my brew kettle element, my mini fridge fermenter, wiring a Johnson controller, and so on. I don't know that this stuff necessarily warrants a FAQ, maybe it could. Or should I just wait until the time comes and post what I've got to the appropriate thread?

Any of the useful old topics would be great to see here. Any way to move Oldfart's CO2 thread here?

Yeah I was one of the ones pushing that idea and I think it has merit over here. Granted we shouldn't be pushing the limits of the database any time soon but still I think it's nice to have those "classic" threads in a convenient spot. One idea that came up over there was a sort of hall of fame. Maybe the same as FAQ, but maybe something to highlight helpful threads. I'll post some stuff mostly because I too want to pull it off just in case.

Right, not to prune, just bubble stuff up to the top. Might help facilitate more long-term discussions... kind of like the Roeselare thread I guess.Yeah I was one of the ones pushing that idea and I think it has merit over here. The information I have is my own. I didn't save entire threads, just my contributions. So what I can create is either my own thread, or I can start a new thread based on my own work and information. So no copyright issues and no stepping on toes.I don't think that it is a good idea to recreate entire threads, since some Greenboard members might object to having posts that they made on that board appear on this one. Even if you started the thread, they are the authors of their posts. On the other hand, I was thinking today about the FAQs started by people who have migrated over here. I *think* that the copyrights reside with the authors, unless they somehow assigned them to the board. So in principle I think that the authors could not only post the FAQs here but demand that the BB remove them. But I'm not a lawyer, and i don't even watch Boston Public anymore.

I've asked a lawyer about the intellectual property issues. People are welcome to move stuff that they wrote from the Brewboard to here.On the other hand, I was thinking today about the FAQs started by people who have migrated over here.
