I played the first one all the way through - did all the collectibles and stuff. Absolutely loved it. I'll get this when it gets cheaper I think.

I got the special edition preloaded, cant wait for 9pm tonight. i honestly haven't been this excited for a game since GTA5

I've seen a lot of cut scenes from the game. Looks pretty damn good.

This has quickly become one of my most favoritest games.

 

One evening last week I was in a local brewery.  It was crowded, and I was made to wait in an awkward, questionably not-in-line place holding a full beer and bowl of pretzels while the rest of my party figured out what to order up.

 

Then some guy - classic Wyoming Cowboy - wandered up to me all bowlegged and said, in that Arthur Morgan riding down the road voice: "Hey Mister! You in line right-cheer?!"

 

I lost it.  Pretzels all over the floor, but I did save the beer.

 

First time in my life I can ever remember being addressed as "mister".  Fresh off playin' rootin' tootin' cowboy shootin'.

Omg you guys.

So I was riding around on my horse and looking for some fun when I run across old Bob Crawford tending to his farm. You may remember Mr. Craword from an earlier adventure involving stealing a stagecoach.

So I lasso Bob and hogtie him and throw him on the back of my horse. He's botching and moaning about it but I don't care. I ride straight for the train tracks... grab old Bob up off my horse and throw him on the tracks.

I hide behind a tree and within a couple minutes a train comes. Bob is squirming on the tracks and then SQUISH! He is no longer yelling.

So I wait for the train to go by and check on Bob and what do you know... the train cut his arms and legs off and they're just lying there next to his dead bloody torso/head.

So I grab Bob thinking that I could find a nearby body of water and make him live up to his name but there's no water close by.

So instead I ride into Valentine. On my way, several people spot me riding with a bloody torso on the back of my horse and exclaim "oh shit!" and the next thing I know I'm wanted.... but just for disturbing the peace.

So I keep riding until I hit Valentine and I ride up to the sheriff's office and grab old bloody Bob from my horse and bring him in and drop him on the floor.

Sheriff freaks out and starts yelling at me to get my hands up so I blast him and then start blasting my way down main street. Steal a horse and start charging out of town. Almost got away with it too but then I ran into a wagon and went flying and they shot me down.

I was being chased on horseback by about 10 lawman. I found a good wooded spot, jumped off my horse and started shooting. I was surrounded. On my map, I noticed their little red dots were disappearing behind me. I turned around. There was a grizzly bear mauling the 3 guys behind me. So fun.

I finished the game and am playing through a 2nd time... so good!

I wish I remembered RDR1 better... it's been a long time, and I have a feeling I'm missing a bunch of callbacks
