Looks great Rich!!! Is that a locking pulley mechanism and if so, can you share the brand/type please. I tie mine off to a boat cleat on one of my work shelves.
Almost ready to brew again...

that seems like a lot more structure than I imagined was necessary! better too much than too little though
I liked the rolling burner holder. my side table that holds my burner has a similar set of stops on it to keep the burner from moving.
one question - will the bag hang that low when it's full of grain? it almost seems like it would be in the wort depending on how high up the side of the pot it goes.

I don't know yet, but considering that's a 15 gal pot and it will only be half full after the mash and that the bag won't droop as much due to expanding, I don't think so. I can adjust my mounting point by up to 3 inches higher if need be though.

Do you BIAB people use anything to support the bag when you lift and drain?

I don't think most do. part of the plan is to let the weight of the grain help squeeze out wort.

I sometimes use a large colander but not often.

It seems like that could be a mess or worse if a bag failed

what is the deciding factor on if you use it or not?

Oh I am sure but so far so good.

Flaked grains. If I have a lot it takes longer to drain.
