I said my setup was nothing but headaches. The process of putting 1 large vessel of beer into another is easy. Having jacked up carbonation, leaky lines, etc is a PITA.

Fix the leaks and set the carbonation to 12psi and wait a week. Eazy peazy.

not sure what you are fermenting in but can you actually see the wort? you might have a leak around a lid or something so you don't see airlock activity.
eta: also, I don't start getting concerned until 36 hours.

Glass carboy. Looks like wort sitting in a glass jar. No sign of life
have you tried giving it a very gentle swirl to see if it out gasses at all?

As Morty said give it a shake and see what happens. I do not start to worry till about 48 hours but I can understand your issues with leaving town. What temp is the wort at?

right at 68-70 degrees.
Last night I would give it a good shake every hour or so.

while i was out of town, something happened. It looks there is evidence that there was krausen while I was gone. I'll post pics tonight. Life has got in the way of me doing it earlier today.

Sometimes, you gotta let life find its own way.
Glad to hear the yeast, albeit taking their time, finally woke up and got down to bidness.
