Sounds like he said no to the only legit offer that we know he received.

No. Elway is a schmuck. He tried to trade for him BEFORE the 2016 season.

Elway confirming testimony he gave already.  Cool.  Nice to know.

Can't see anyone taking this the way they don't want it taken.

Also worth noting, he didn't turn down an offer, but didn't agree to a new deal WHILE ALREADY UNDER A CONTRACT.  He wasn't unemployed and turned down employment.

I don't think he's a schmuck because of that. Kaeps numbers were down in 2015 and it looked like he was going to move. You don't pay full price for a 2nd string guy and it was smart not to take Kaep at a higher cost considering the drama he caused.

Would Kaep have stayed in the NFL if he were in Denver? Maybe, who knows.

The bottom line is that he's too big a distraction for his ability. It's not like he's an assistant manager at applebees and can get a job just anywhere and can afford to piss off his employer because there's literally 10,000's of places to get a job. He's an NFL QB and there's only about 85 - 90 of them working in the entire world plus another 100+ of them trying to get one of those spots every year. It's an elite position and you had better be damn good if your employer is going to put up with BS. He chose his path and should live with the consequences. It's great that he wanted to help his community and take a stand, but you can't expect an employer to bend to your will if they don't want to send the same political message as you.

Right, but it's not like he turned down a NFL deal, like the OP implied.  He almost got traded.  The other team said no.  That's all.  A failed NFL trade?  How's that news?

No. He’s a smchuck for leaving out the part where Kaep already had a job when he tried to TRADE for him. Horse Tooth tried to make it sound like Kaep was out of a job, and passed up an opportunity to play in the NFL.

I thought your smartass would know, that’s why I asked. Didn’t know you would trigger.

Read a little more this morning and his collusion case starts in 2017, not 2016.

Either way, i would have liked seeing him get a shot at Denver. I thought he was a flash in the pan and would eventually be a middle of the road QB. With the Denver D, a qb like that could win a superbowl

Heh. They benched him precisely so there would be zero chance of him suffering a career ending injury and triggering the rest of the guaranteed money.

Didn't he have a chance with the Ravens before his girlfriend made a crazy statement about Ray Lewis?

Me not knowing the relevance of your point is *me* being triggered?  But glad to see you recognize how wrong you were with the entire thread.
