Much further than that actually. Stout is designing system specifically for Low Oxygen https://conical-ferm...wing-systems/

Speidel also makes a  low oxygen setup for their equipment. https://www.morebeer...ing-kit-20.html

Still a niche part of brewing but seems to have some hold.  On one side you have fast and sloppy and the other 100% low oxygen. Like most things I just want to be somewhere in the middle..lol.  Good beer that does not take forever and cost me a retirement account.

Marshall may do short'n' shoddy, but I do fast and tidy...not sloppy.

I am not saying I have not done fast batches.  I think I did one that was 1:57 start to finish and it was a helles.  Turned out to be a great beer.  Heck, I have been doing 30 minute boils for about 2 years.  I think some aspects of both approaches can be adopted to turn out good beer.  One thing I like is the keg purge with CO2 off gas.  Cost me nothing to impliment and it makes sure I have a keg ready to go when it is time to move the beer.

I was just responding to the "sloppy".  A fast batch deosn't have to be sloppy.

Agh, I see.  Yes, that may not have been the best word to use.
