Our 9 y/o female red short hair dachshund Weenie is not doing well... She’s been moving slow the last couple of days, and has had a strange look in her eyes. Tuesday she started crying if you tried to pick her up, and now she just creeps around the house at a slow pace just wandering.. She still has an appetite, and drinks water but she’s just “off”. My vets office was closed yesterday, and her condition seamed to improve but this afternoon it’s just getting bad... She was my Son’s 5th birthday gift, and he’s just devistated... :(

Vibes for a positive outcome I’m heading out now...

Vibes for your companion.

Gracie, (Duncan's sister) came down with a rare condition. Basically, the sheathing on her nerve endings were worn away. This caused constant discomfort. She would wonder the house endlessly for hours looking for relief. Nothing super painful but she couldn't sleep or lay down. Every touch caused her to shy away.

This went on for a day or so until I took her to the Vet.

I still miss those dogs.

Well just got back from the vet.. She’s got arthritis in her back, and neck... They did X-rays, took blood, and prescribed anti inflammatory with pain killers(7 days worth) must remain calm(yeah good luck with that) and off the furniture no jumping, and she could lose 5-6 lbs. Her lymph nodes are a little swollen, and we will have blood work results back tomorrow.

Thanks all for the vibes

Our long hair had some back issues late in life. She had epidural injections and acupuncture. Got her to the ripe old age of 17!
