In the Pool!

Fished this serpent out of the pool today.

Not as big as the pic suggests - I zoomed in. About 8" long and skinny. My wife is freaked out. But we did drink in the pool today, so not that freaked out.

Not sure. Took pics, my wife's friend at work thinks it's a harmless pine snake. Doesn't look like a water moccasin, which are in our locale.

Yeah... is it something that could do Gusso damage? :D

Not concerned about me, more Gidget and Sookie.

A quick GIS for “native S.C. Snakes” says it’s a Red bellied snake

Even smaller than this pic suggests - skinny little snake with tiny head.

Threw him into the pond over the fence.

They're late to my frog frenzy. Had 10-40 a morning up until a week or so ago.

I pulled out a 3-5 foot tape worm out of Lil Gidget's butt when she was a pup. She had a rough early life, picked up on the streets of Georgia, sent to a kill shelter, rescued by a pit bull shelter in upstate NY, until finally finding a home with us. I hung it from a tree in our yard and said to my wife, "go look how I decorated the tree".

We have one like that here everyone calls and AR brown snake. About the size of a night crawler. Usually see them in leaves and they eat snails, non-venomous.
