Floating out car rankings where Kia ranks at #X and Hyundai ranks #Y, (usually lower) is kinda a derp moment since they often share the same rebadged car.

The data speak for themselves. Toyota falls squarely between the two.

I definitely wouldn't drive a Toyota, though. I don't have time to deal with recalls and reliability issues.

Sorry Kia touched you in your special place, though. And then proceeded to anally pillage you, in your special place. :D

I would weigh in with my opinion here, but I am a mere VW owner. A slave to a wretchedly engineered jalopy, wiling away my days praying for someone at the dealership to hear my pleas for help. I can only peer upward, and dream of owning a Korean vehicle built in the deep South.

Apparently Peyton Manning's dad is racist against Korean automobiles. Or something.

Quality markets just shift over time. Germany was on top at one point. America was on top at one point. Japan was on top at one point. It's not like it would be a great shock if a new player rose to the top.

That said, I don't really think Korea in general is there yet. We're just talking about one car brand that's seriously upped their game in the past three years, and the deep Southers who are in denial about it.

Ah yeah, I'm just making jokes. You couldn't have paid me to own either a VW or Kia a few years ago. Now, it's hard to find a truly bad car.

Best method I've found is to look for the word "Fiat" on the VIN tag.

Did you ever come up with my quote for me?

Yeah, didn't think so.

Like I said, it's my opinion alone about the cars I choose to drive. You like your Stiger, great. Drive the wheels off of it.

I do know that we have an 04 Prius with 217,000 miles on it and it just keeps on going. My 2.5 year old Toyota with 74,000 miles has had exactly 0 issues.

Let me know when the Kia hits that mark.

I guess you missed my post where KIA has recalled 1.5 million cars in the last 18 months...

Talk about denial.

Right. As it stands, they have about half the problems per vehicle that Toyota does.

That would be your native tongue. Not mine. You should really look to see who you are quoting...

That’s how those numbers work...

Acura/Honda
Lexus/Toyota
Audi/VW
Chevy/GM
Ford/Lincoln.

It’s like you think you have this magic insight into Hyundai/Kia but are completely ignorant of any other manufacturer. Of course you may not remember that your old Mini was full of BMW parts.
