Seemed a bit earlier than prior years, but the cones looked good, smelled great, and the Japanese beetles were starting to wreak some havoc, so harvest day just happened.

I filled an entire 2 gallon bowl (like you'd serve chips out of at a party) heaping full, to the point I could barely get it into the house without spilling some hops.  Not sure how much they weighed wet, but it was considerable.

I have a 6 layer Presto food dehydrator, and each layer is completely full; it's been running in the basement now for a good hour or so.

Interestingly enough, I still have half the amount I harvested today, still on the plant (those are nowhere near ready to pick yet).

Very cool. Which hops did you harvest?

Cascade; first 2 tray's worth came out to 3 oz dry, which are now vac-sealed and in the freezer.  4 more trays are drying now.

Eyeball estimate says I might get a good 8-9 oz dry total.
