That's who I'm supporting. Just want to be on the record so that I'm not accused of jumping on bandwagons.

If I knew the melody or the words to the Icelandic national anthem, I'd be singing it now.

Feck it, I am cheering for the douche. Portugal is as good a pick as any other. They are not very deep, but Renaldo can make the best goalies look bad. The game against Spain was a spectacular watch for both teams.

My son is picking Belgium. He says they have a team full of awesome players.

I choose Mexico, mostly due to its proximity

Mexico is in group play with Germany, the odds on favorite, Sweden another powerful team, and Korea a good team. Mexico is inconsistant right now and only two teams make it out of group play. They landed in the wrong group for how they are currently playing.

I think group G and Group H play each other after group play and Belgium has an easy path from those teams. Only England could be considered a good team of the ones remaining in those two groups. I think my son's bracket to getting deep is much more thought out than mine.

Belgium has a full team of awesome players but I expect them to go out in the quarters

This time of year the sun doesn't go down in Reykjavik. Isn't that some kind of illegal advantage?

What the hell? How does the best player in the world miss a penalty? How do any of these professionals miss a penalty?

Oh absolutely, but this isn't hockey. The chance of a keeper making a save on the best player in the world from the penalty spot should be less than 0.0001%.

And who the hell is this guy announcing the peru game? It sounds like carlos mencia.

Hell I just read an article from last season and it stated at the time Ronaldo is only 7/11 on PK’s for his country

Lately it is Renaldo, Messi, and Neymar in the discussion. As great as Renoldo and Messi are, I think they are declining and Neymar is raising. I love how he takes the discussion. He said recently he does feel he is the best player in the world, but Renoldo and Messi are from a different planet. I think Messi is declining the fastest when you compare him and Renaldo. FC Barcelona let the wrong guy go when Neymar went to Paris.
